After your soles and entire surface area looks clean to the best of your ability, add the white laces. They look good on every color sneaker made of any material. Fat laces work best because they make even the grimiest kicks look revamped with just a simple touch. Brand new skinny laces on visibly old sneakers can make you look like you are trying too hard to give new life to your shoes. Use your judgment and proceed with caution.

It is best to work over a large open sink or bathtub. Your end result may garner subtle changes but your sneakers are guaranteed to look fresher. People with suede sneakers only need to change the laces and revamp the soles. You can take a toothbrush with dish soap and softly scrub the stained spot back and forth in gentle ovular motion.
