DC Shoes specializes in skateboarding and snowboarding gear. The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Vista, CA. DC originally stood for 'Droors Clothing Footwear', but since the sale of Droors to Quiksilver in 2004, Droors is now defunct. The company manufactures footwear for all types of extreme sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, motocross, rally car racing, and surfing, for men, women, and kids.Rob Dyrdek:
Dyrdek has been a professional skateboarder since the age of 16. He currently skates for DC Shoes, Rogue Status, Alien Workshop Skateboards, Silver Trucks and Reflex Bearings. He is also sponsored by Spy Optics and Red Bull. Dyrdek also has a line of skateboarding-related products, including a skateboarding/athletic shoe from DC Shoes, called "The Dyrdek1." He helped build the Dyrdek/DC Shoe skate park in Kettering, Ohio.
