Pumas For St. Patty's
What would St. Patrick's Day be without a new pair of sneakers? It used to be that very few manufacturers (besides liquor companies), would invest in this widely celebrated yet unofficially recognized holiday (outside of Ireland).
This year marks a decidedly different tone towards the "green day." Four of the major sneaker labels (Reebok, Nike, Puma and Adidas), have all released limited edition sneakers. Despite their best efforts, only one brand got it right. The pot of gold goes to Puma for their stylistically cool, 1980 retro-inspired, Puma Sky II St. Patrick's Limited Edition sneaker.
This colorfully stimulating Puma design features a green on white color combination with accented metallic gold paint upper. Each heel tap and shoe tongue also features an embroidered shamrock (only a 3-leaf clover). To finish off the ensemble, a sparkly pair of metallic gold laces come ready for lacing with these sneakers.
These sneakers may have been designed with the “green” holiday in mind, but you wouldn’t go wrong if you wore them on any day. Since they are limited editions, you better get your pair today before your “luck of the Irish” runs out.
